Description

Summary:
Executes inspection plans; inspects manufacturing parts for quality, reliability test plans, etc.
The position typically will be separate jobs which may include: QC Inspector, Environmental Qualification, and others.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
QC Inspector : Inspect parts for quality standards, including specialty items, threads, coatings, finishes and purchased goods.
Select and calibrate tools and gauges.
Environmental Qualification:
Assist in design of tests and fixtures and then sets up and executes tests.
Reviews documentation received for compliance with procedures.
Create records for all transactions.
Additional Information:
Ideal Employee should have a Mechanical or Electrical back ground (Schooling, Military, or Work History) to ensure quality standards are met for workmanship, craft, and DOT safety standards. Accepting individuals that have work history in ensuring QA / QC or Testing. These individuals will start at the trainee position must undergo an extensive training program to ensure mechanical / electrical workmanship or craft standards are met.
The hourly rates are a must to ensure alignment with maintenance personnel at a minimum but feel the hourly values should be slightly higher due to the expertise required to Quality Assure, Quality Control and Test completed actions received from the shop by my personnel.
Progression from shop to Testing and QC needs to have some alignment and vice versa if QC / Testing Personnel want to contribute in a shop environment.
