Desktop Support Specialist
Provide timely desktop site support and problem resolution for our internal customers, in support of a fast-paced, personal computer hardware refresh project. This technical role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, effective communications skills, a professional demeanor and exceptional customer service skills, in a large corporate headquarters environment.
Responsibilities may include:
• Perform installation and configuration of personal computing hardware and peripherals. Immaculate cable management practices.
• Provide customer service and deployment guidance regarding installation of software and configuring desktop settings. Software installs via ServiceNow catalog requests and Microsoft IT Store.
• Configuring OneDrive settings and assisting customer synchronize data.
• Microsoft Outlook. Assist set-up user profiles, add additional mailboxes and personalized settings.
• Reconnecting network printers and assistance with driver installs for local print devices.
• Provide post-deployment support for any connectivity, performance or configuration issues.
• Maintain asset management records in ServiceNow.
• Update project tracking in Excel application or other Microsoft products.
• Provide clear and professional communications using Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
Basic/Required:
• 3+ years of direct experience in troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
• 3+ years of direct experience an Information Technology site support role
• 1+ years of direct experience supporting and troubleshooting Office 365 application suite and OneDrive
• Physical requirements:
o Able to lift computer equipment that weighs up to 30 lbs. from the floor.
o Bend, stoop, crawl under tables/desks to perform cable management tasks
o Able to bend to pick up equipment and load a cart.
o Able to push/pull equipment on a cart of up to 100 lbs.
Preferred:
• Windows 11 Operating System (OS) experience
• PC Rollout/OS upgrade experience
• ServiceNow and Excel application experience (basic to intermediate skill level)
