Executive Communications Specialist

Please note that writing samples must be submitted. Only Houston area candidates will be considered. Reporting to the Director of Executive Communications, this high-profile position will be responsible for driving executive-level communications for internal and external audiences, including customers, investors, employees and industry. Primarily focused on supporting the Chief Executive Officer and the executive leadership team, this position will play a central role in the overall effectiveness of company’s strategic communications efforts.

Responsibilities:
Writing speeches, LinkedIn posts and articles, press quotes, social media content, video scripts, and other talking points and digital content.
Developing materials for internal and external communications including briefing materials, scripting/messaging for internal keynotes, presentations, media engagements, social media and events.
Managing the development and production of content in collaboration with Investor Relations.
Managing and evaluating incoming speaking requests to determine and manage appropriate format, content and deliverables end-to-end with key stakeholders.
Proactively seeking out speaking and authorship opportunities aligned to thought leadership priorities.
Researching content subject matter to find the most impactful stories and synthesize talking points and messaging from other teams.
Facilitating two-way communication and feedback sharing between executives and various stakeholders.

Required experience: 5-7 years of experience in communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing. Must submit written samples or provide links.
• World-class writing/storytelling ability.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into compelling and engaging content.
• Experience working directly with C-level executives.
• Executive maturity, ability to influence for impact, curiosity and self-awareness, desire to test and learn.
• Experience working in a global, dynamic environment.
• Acumen in business and financial topics.
